Guys I'm going to be as nice as I possibly can when I say this
Hours of work doesn't always equal skill
Look, I used to spend hours on stuff that, honestly, looked like complete shit This, for example: [link]
I'm not saying that you're terrible if you don't make it into a group based on your skill level And, again, I'm trying to be nice, but you should be mature enough to accept what is said and just work on improving so you can prove to whomever that you've got not only the skill, but also the will to be in groups like pixel gift groups Groups like those are always going to be a bit pickier, since the point is to be making something nice for someone else, so they try to filter people accordingly When they say, "You need to improve," they aren't saying that you suck and you should jump off a cliff and take your shit with you They're just trying to keep each trade as even as possible with the skill levels of it's members Don't take it personally when they ask you to take time to work on your style
And on that note, it isn't always about style Just because someone has some fancy-schmancy style doesn't mean that their stuff actually looks good >:I
So please Just don't take these kinds of things personally Groups like that look out for the best interest of their members Try to respect their decisions
And if there's something I need to further explain, please don't hesitate to ask me c:
Amen. Particularly about the group acceptance thing. Both me and my co-admin have been whined at, called unfair, insulted, and treated like horrible people for saying no to certain people who wanted to be in our group =n=; s'pretty annoying after a while
I really hope so hehe c: I know that I've improved a lot in the year that I've been drawing, so I'm hoping to have gotten much better in another year :'D I'd be glad for sure hehe
